LBC Toronto Collaborative at the 2015 EcoFair – Artscape Wychwood Barns, Nov.8!

The Toronto Collaborative is excited to announce that they will be participating in the seventh annual EcoFair. Join us for this fun, family oriented event!

This year’s EcoFair will take place on Sunday, November 8th, 12pm to 4pm at its longtime home – Artscape Wychwood Barns (601 Christie Street, 2 blocks south of St Clair Ave W).

Come find our table and learn more about the Living Building Challenge program and the Toronto Collaborative. Whether you are a professional who’d like to share with us Your vision for a Living Future and the role of Living Architecture or just a person who is very curious about nature, environment and the place of human race in it, we will be glad to meet you!

Also, some of our members will be giving the tours of the Barns, showcasing the many green features of this beautiful LEED Gold certified space – the old TTC streetcar barns that got transformed into a vibrant community hub.

This event has been organized by the local community-driven eco groups: Green Neighbours 21, Transition Toronto and the Wychwood Barns Community Association.

Last year, over 800 people came out to learn about green initiatives and achievements in the city, to explore new ideas, and to share green tips and tricks. This year, organizers promise the event to be even bigger and better than before!

Here are some highlights of the 2015 EcoFair:

  • 35+ businesses and non-profit organizations promoting eco-friendly programs, products and services (the LBC-Toronto is one of them!)
  • 2 FREE screenings of This Changes Everything (see trailer)
  • Electric car test drives
  • Informative workshops and presentations
  • Interactive activities for kids
  • Delicious food

Admission is FREE! Save the date!
